FCSF is a member of Southern Volunteering SA, we appreciate the support provided in sending volunteers our way. 

​

Client confidentiality is extremely important to us. All volunteers are required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement prior to participation in any volunteer activities including training and orientation. All of our volunteers are asked to become members of the Foundation, membership is free.

​

In addition to current vacancies we are always interested in individuals available to give their time in to help. 

TRANSPORT TEAM

The transport team consists of approximately 40 volunteers. Each role within the transport team provides a valuable service to the Fleurieu community and eases the burden on the patients, and the family and friends of those battling cancer.

Driver

Our drivers are responsible for transporting clients from their homes to medical appointments in Adelaide and then home again on completion of their treatment. The Foundation currently has 4 automatic vehicles, 2 are based in Victor Harbor, 1 in Port Elliot and 1 in Goolwa  Drivers are rostered according to their availability. Each trip, start to finish is about 6 hours on average however start and finish time are variable.

Patient Assessor

Assessors meet with prospective clients in the comfort of the client's own home. The assessing officer provides information about the Foundation, completes an assessment to determine eligibility and special needs and answers any questions regarding services and support available.

Rostering Officer

Rostering Officers prepare weekly rosters for drivers, matching client appointments with drivers and suitable vehicles. They also maintain driver information and arrange servicing of vehicles.

Car Cleaning Crew

Our vehicles are washed and vacuumed on a weekly basis to ensure a pleasant transport environment for our clients.

RECEPTION
Receptionist

Our reception desk at Carrickalinga House is the first point of contact for our clients. A friendly welcome helps make a difficult time a little easier. Training and orientation is provided by an experienced member of our Reception team.

FUNDRAISING
Fundraising
Fundraising Assistant

We are looking for individuals to assist with various fundraising activities such as raffle ticket sales, BBQs and bingo at shopping centres, markets and other locations in Victor Harbor and surrounding areas. Hours and days depending on fundraising activity and volunteer availability.
